tapping power from lights

I got a set of aftermarket gauges for my 79 and they have a 12v backlight that I want to come on when I turn the headlights on. Where should I tap for power that will only come on when the headlights are on? pics are much appreciated

does anyone at least have a wiring diagram or a link to something that may help?

You can tap into the same wire, we're telling him to tap in to.

Look for BLUE with a RED stripe. This is dash illumination and is exactly what you need. From the link jsutton provided, it sounds like they're talking about the same signal.
