I want to add illumination to the foot wells of my truck. Have some blue led strips that will look nice i think. I want them to come on when my headlights/running lights come on, but also when my interior lights come on. Is this possible with one set of lights? Is there a specific wire to tap into?
I don't know what year your truck is... I would tap into the brown running light wire. That would be on anytime your running lights are on. I don't know if you could tie into both because it might back feed power? If you want interior it would be black/blue for dome light circuit as far as I know. This is for an 05-07ish truck.
I definitely need to see what I have for room. Dunno if I trust myself to install diodes correctly, and using relays would allow me to be able to install a switch and be able to turn it off if it's too much light.
I would be interested the wire color coding for the interior lights wire on a 2014 SD Lariat and the loaction as well. I have some scrap short pieces of LED strip lights that would work great for this.
Any chance I'd be able to get some of that wiring info for a 2007 from you? Please. I am working on my own little project and am needing some wiring diagrams to find colors

It will be from the 06~07 workbook and I need to know what section your
working on. I have to do a section at a time save to get it so I can post it.
You box is full can't send PM.
In response to the last message. I have an idea how to
make it work if we can't find a wire to do it when you unlock it.
Delay relay from the unlock circuit and a tie in from the dome light.
That way your covered at unlock or door open.
I'll do some looking in the files tonight.
