Rear drivers side window shattered

About a month after I bought my X, the window would close, but not seal correctly- the window had slid half out of the hinge. I took it to a glass shop and the guy said he'd seen it before and heard about the early adhesive failures. He had the recommended stuff and fixed it for 40 bucks. It has been fine since, and we use the pop outs all the time (with dogs and a kid ya need venting!). Even with extreme cold or hot, I figure since we got it I'll use it, and we'll deal with it if something fails... 
I'd love to know what that stuff IS !

Probably a two part epoxy. Clean the hinge and the glass properly and fly at it.
Almost like a bondo mixture, and you could probably get away with bondo.
