Take some starting fluid and spray the intake gaskets with it running. If the idle changes, you have a leak. I'd still pull the valve covers to be thorough.
Yea also do not use those dang rubber s shaped intake gaskets on the front and back of the manifold thay always slip out. Use a healthy amount of the copper-tex high temp stuff.
That was my problem with ol red at first, then I got a stuck valve and bent a few pushrods. Easy fix, I swapped the moter outa the rearended bronco with 90,000 on it.
Woops....I would guess it would be ok till it gets bounced or thrown/sloshed up into the lower internals?? You are off roading it some day, right?
Or maybe it will be ok?? it might be heavy enough to stay put in the bottom of the pan. I am sure you will get more input here shortly, sorry for your back luck.
All else fails drop it and tilt it enough to get a magnet and go fishin.
Are you good with its condition? Should be a bolt and go......Thanks Unk Bob for the parts drop off. I figured he dropped it off since he went to Branson today?
My buddy Richy Stopped at Alan's on his way home from from Work today.
Dropped off Some wheels for one of Alan's cars, Wheels to be sandblasted, vinyl for earthquake, And picked up my drive shaft!
Wow has it really been 7 months since I posted an update on the bronco?
Turns out the miss was a bad coil wire. The coil was going bad and leaked oil in the end of the wire. I changed the coil but never thought of the wire.
Have not done any thing cool to the bronco in a long time. guess I got caught up with the new family. Wife is 29 weeks now. Adelyn Grace Lathim should be here before to longer! Getting me a daddy's girl.
Loving the new job, turning wrenches full time is a blast, learning so much! My boss/owner is real cool and laid back.
About to get my wife a Ford! 06 Expedition EB, 4x4, 3rd row, sunroof, rear air, DVD the works!
Sure miss being on line with you guys, butt what I got now is a lot better!
