Im at work and my buddys 01 f150 has a passenger window stuck down...is there an easy way to manuallyraise it up . Rain is coming, and hed like to at least stay dry....thanks much....
If he can get the window up a lil with the motor you can almost always walk them the rest of the way up just being nice and wiggling it. If the motor is out he would pretty much not have a choice to take the door panel up and try and raise the window on the track by hand.
The motor is still in, we tried to tap motor..it clicks but no movement. We tried everything, i was hoping there was a way to dislodge the motor from gear that raises window...thanks boomer for quick reply...window wont budge....hit us back....were patiently waiting
If I remember right the window should be pinned/screwed to the track not just sitting on it like older trucks. If you could seperate it from the track you could slide it up and use something (maybe tape) to secure it up.
If you can get a picture of it in the door with the panel off I could get a look and see if the helps something click.
Thanks again for the reply. I think u are talking at the bottom of the window. If this correct i will let him know. We just split ways but i will send him the info. I hope this all helps. Ford is stupid for riveting a mechanical, electrical part to the door...
on an explorer, i had to drill out the bottom rivit that holds the window to the mechanism. i pushed the window all the way up, then put a paint stir stick into the track below the window, and put duct tape around the track/ stick so the window could not drop.
