Wow, I really like the look of your interior. I think I am going to save this picture and try to copy your look. I like the seat cover also. I am new to fords, is that seat cover an original cover? Also, where do you get the chrome strip on the door panels? My panels are new but do not have the chrome strip. Where did you get the gauge faces? Thanks for any help.

The seat was original, it has been removed in favor of '95 Explorer Buckets and a bronco console.

THe door panels are factory original

The gauges I painted.

That 3 spoke steering wheel was optional on the pickups.

Another optional steering wheel was the Soft Grip steering wheel.

The seat was the optional Knit and Vinyl bench.

The chrome on the door panels are for trim levels, 80-81= RANGER or higher, or 1982-1986 = XL or higher.

How do you buy new chrome for the door panels? I haven't seen any in LMC or NPD, or that rediculously expensive Denise Carpenter cataloge.

To get those chrome pieces you had to buy the whole door panels. You cannot buy it seperately, only in a wrecking yard.

So I'd go to the wrecking yard if you want a set without the door panels attached. Broncos had these as well.

I would pay a large amount of money for the black bench pictured above. I have captains with center console and really hate it.

If this is for your supercab, that bench would fit.

However what would make you more happy is a split bench for a supercab. This has a full covered backing on it, and controls up high to flip the seat forward for rear passengers.

Yeah I am going to get a super duty seat, with the flip down console. My fire department is getting a truck, 2011 super duty and its ripping out the rear seat (gray vinyl) to put in jump seats as its our crash truck. I'm gonna buy the rear seat for pretty cheap and then vinyl dye it black. It won't have a flip portion, but heck for $100 bucks or so for a brand new from the factory seat can't beat that. Of course I face mounting issues, but I am going to modify the stock brackets!

Well, anything 1980-1996 F-series will swap without modification, bench for bench, including rear seats on crew cabs.

I would think a 2011 rear seat for the front would be more problems that it's worth. That and dying it you will not be satisfied with, too much wear to hold up satisfactorly in my opinion.. If you do this, let us know in a seperate thread how it goes.

I am pulling the entire interior out of an XLT tomorrow with the chrome strips on the door panels. I will post before and after pics of the process.
