I drilled my own for both right below the heater box. It's a pita but it allowed me to run the wires where I want them and not snaking all over the engine compartment.
Of course in another section of the site I found there is supposedly a grommet near the pedals under the insulation, but not large enough for the amp powe and the aux. fuse box lead.
Did you see any existing openings while you drilled on the passenger side?
There is a big plastic oval cover on the drivers side, nothing on the pass side. I just wanted to keep the cables as short as possible so I wouldnt have to run larger cables.

I was afraid of that. Approx where was he driver side plug (if you recall)?
While running wiring under the carpet, I found a large grommet just above the "bend" on the passenger side right where it changes from flat to an angle up to the glove box. When I pulled the grommet it was a double wall, but a second opening was a bit off center.
Thinking if I come through the "outer" grommet I could drill a new hole on the "inner" wall and make it up higher where the passenger wouldn't be stepping on it. Will be under the truck again tomorrow or Monday and will try to remember to take pics.
I was running some halogen driving lights yesterday and also noticed a large about 3" opening near the steering column. I'm a little concerned because mine was wide open. I guess the previous owner ripped it out. I guess I need to find a replacement? You can still see the red wire near it in the photo.

I am using that same opening to run some 8ga to my Aux fuse block and to send my strobe wiring harness through the firewall. There was a hard plastic cover there, diamond shaped (you will notice two smaller holes on either side of that large one where the pins go to hold the plastic panel in). Take a mirror and check down below the hole on the engine side of the firewall...when I popped mine out it fell and I needed to get one of those thin recovery tools with the plunger on one end and the little metal grabber on the other to recover it...and I had to drive to the parts store with that panel still down there to get the tool. If the prior owner didn't have the tool that cover may stll be down there.
I drilled through the cover and used a rubber grommet then replaced it. Shouldn't cause too much drama if you can't find it - if you were to ford through water that high your engine probably would have drowned before water starts coming in through that opening.
