Ok, so this may be a dumb question, but I am currently installing a 7pin plug for my 1986 F250 that is already equipped with a 4pin. I bought a plug that all I have to do is tap into the brake controller, power, and the reverse lights. I was wondering where is the best place to tap into power and reverse lights?
For the auxillary power, you will need to run a wire from the front to the back. It is your discretion s to whether you would run it from the terminal at the starter solenoid, or from the battery terminal itself. I would recommend a version of circuit protection, whether it be a fuse, fusible link, or breaker.
