i did as a hobby.
i had my bike at a swap meet a few years ago. the frame had fresh flip flop powdercoating, 90 spoke front and rear wheels, all the cool stuff. a kid (must have been 10 years old) walking with his dad spotted it and was very excited and you could tell he really wanted it. he asked me what i was asking for it, i said $75. you could see the kids heart sink and he looked at his dad who said "thats more than you have to spend". the kid thanked me and started to walk away but you could see how bummed he was, he had been eyeballing it for about 5 minutes. i asked him how much money he had to spend, it was 20 something dollars, all in ones. so i sold my bike for $20 and gave him the history on it so he knew what he was actually buying (the bike was a chro-mo frame GT DYNO for those who are familiar) because it wasnt made anymore.
fast forward to NOW....the same bike is all over ebay, for $300 and more because they still kick *** and are discontinued. i wish i could buy it back from him!
