5+ years later, thanks for posting this. The pics of the dash cuts helped big time. Made them before the bezel arrived. Acquired the bezel, switches, radio and test fit everything, perfect. Got dark and the mosquitoes can out. FINALLY everything in the garage ready to go. That rear defogger switch out of a 2000 Crown Vic is brilliant, plugged right in with a few snips to the original plug. Thursday, my 2005 PSD Excursion was T-Boned at 50 MPH and totaled. Keeping everything. I will get another EX.

 

Just wanted to point out that the lariat amd above trim have the electronic temp control. The op used a king ranch bezel. The xl amd xlt though have a different HVAC control area iirc... which would be more work

 

Also where the op put the defrost switch is where the pwer pedals goes. They have a block off on trucks with out
