It ain't the cat. I finally got it down without breaking anything at first light.
(and I could also see a lot of marks where someone before me hammered on the header flange)
Now I have to drop one side of the rear tranny mount just to winkle it out of there.
I have never seen a truck with stuff jammed in so awkwardly before in my life!
It didn't even run on ONE jug - though it kept acting like it was trying to.
The whole thing (if I were looking at an older truck) makes me think ignition timing....
But excessive fuel can also cause misfiring.
I need to back up to square one and look at some plugs, as uninviting as that is on one of these.
