Today I received my Ford code reader in the mail. I have a 92 f150 300 6cyl. 4x4 with the check engine light on. I am looking for the self test input plug. I think that there are two different plugs to plug in the code reader to test the codes? One is the self test connector and the other is the self test input. Where is the self test input? I do have a chilton but I don't know where this plug is at. Is this plug in front of the six plug self test connector. And the self test input looks like one plug by itself. Where is this one plug at? Thanks
Actually, code "10" is just the separator code. When you did the test, did you have the engine running or not? Because if not, "10" indicates that code 522 is a KOEO [Key On Engine Off] code and 332 is the CM [Continuous Memory] code.
the engine was off. The instructions said to turn on key but not start the engine. And the chilton said that code 332 is insufficient erg flow detected Heck, I can't even find the erg sensor. is this on the left side of the engine Thanks DB
Either the EGR valve is stuck or the vacuum line between it and the EVR is broken, test for this and proper EVR function before testing the valve for ocrrect operation before removing it.
The EGR valve is just behind the TB on the upper intake neck and the EVR will be next to the coil.
