he only thing that puts a dagger in my heart is that on my loaded truck is that I didn't get the navigation system. My truck has EVERYTHING else. I hate to know that I'm missing out on something. I've seen these on other 2011's and wish I would have added one to my truck....This will be my Last Truck, I hope. Just wish I did it right.
What have you guys, wish that you "Should" have gotten and didn't.

I'm with you. I wish I would of got the nav and the AC seats. But with 5 days to do a nationwide search for a truck, its the best i could do.
I just ordered my 2011 truck, after much research - the nav is not that great. You cant use it or look up an address while driving because of the saftey feature. Yes it has Sync - but you know how many times you have to repeat youself if not pronounced correctly. My truck is going to be used to pull my 34 ft camper, if I am on the highway and need to look for something - I dont want to pull over and stop to use it. I went with a garmin - I can use it while in motion - and works great. Plus it's portable. I/M/H/O
Coming from a Tom Tom I love the Ford nav. No gps falling off the window no putting it up when stopping so it doesnt get stolen no round ring on the windshield when not using gps. I find it easy to operate with sync while driving. The nav opens up alot more options besides Just nav also. Very happy with it. My regret is the sup heat think I would have enjoyed that in winter. My 7.3 takes along time to heat up and I dont have remote start on that so i think I will survive.
Shane,
I just installed a JVC KW-NT3HDT in my truck Friday night. Got it for $600 at Best Buy. It's last years model, I could not find it anywhere on the net for less than $800. I just need to find out where to connect the speed sensor wire for nav to work properly. It has 2 video inputs, Bluetooth etc. I needed two adapter cables and an installation kit from Scosche. The big dash bezel that is around the radio comes out pretty easily, just remove the MP3 panel on the right and the power port panel on the left. There is one screw behind each panel, take those out and the rest of the bezel is connected with about 20 snaps. Just about the time you think your going to snap the bezel in half, it comes loose. As soon as I get all of the bugs out I will post the installation pics.

BTW
Best Buy wanted $200 for installation, if wiring is not your thing, it's worth it.
I know the cable says it's for a Chrysler, but it is the correct cable.
Wish I would have upgraded to the XLT package with the 4.2" LCD screen.
Other than that, basic CD radio, GPS on windshield, cloth seats all work fine for my needs.
The only thing that I am missing are the cab marker lights. I searched for about six months until I located one with everything I wanted, minus those lights. I may add them later myself.

I wouldn't be so fast to condemn the Nav system. The Sync works just fine unless you are Fat Albert's friend Mushmouth. I added the Lock Pick on my truck and have plenty of access to navigation while in motion not to mention mobile video and the ability to view the rear view camera at any time. Having a Garmin is an invitation for a thief to break a window. Even if you hide it, you will still have the telltale rings on the windshield.
Shane, I honestly thought I was going to open this thread and read about how much you regret those fugly seats!
I don't think I have any regrets. I originally went in looking for a left over 2010 F-250 XLT and ended up with a 2011 F-250 Lariat. Way more bells and whistles than I wanted/needed. Now, do I have some complaints?.....Yes not regrets.

I've had lots of portable GPS systems..still do (Garmin) and IMO the nav is wonderful. Very accurate and easy to use. You can enter addresses on the fly with some modifications. The Sync has worked perfectly for me, my wife and friends who have ridden in the truck. No one has had to repeat anything. Say it once and away it goes. The traffic, weather and other Sirius features are great for those of us who pull a camper. Ya, it's a lot of money ($1500 cost), but when you consider what these trucks cost it's a drop in a bucket. I'm not likely to buy another truck like this so for me, I wanted to get what I wanted this time. I'm very pleased.
As far as things I didn't get...I may miss the long bed, but that's it.
I only regret (and not that much) not opting for the 350 instead of the 250 for the maybe $600 difference. Even though I got the camper package which gives me basically the same spring set, and the vacuum assit brakes vs. the hydroboost brakes is no big deal, the extra 1150 pounds cargo could come in handy someday. It would have saved me many syllables saying "1 ton" rather than "three quarter ton with the heavy spring package" that I have to tell everyone who asks.
I also regret ordering the 5" chrome tubular steps and being too late to cancel them only to rip them off as soon as I got it and add the AMP retractables. Anybody need a spare set close to KC?
Other than that and the other mods I have done, I wouldn't change a thing and I love my truck.
I had to pass on the navigation. To me it's not worth the $2K extra that it costs or however much it is. I have been using a Garmin and it works great for how I use it. The suction cup and wire are minor things to cry about. I wanted an XLT but the wife convinced me to go with the Lariat
