It is a little box that plugs into the wiring harness of your Nav unit to allow you full use of the Nav and back up camera while moving. It costs nearly as much as an aftermarket GPS.

Ok that is great. Now what about using the Sync on the iPhone while driving to get directions. It keeps telling me to put it in P to use the app.
