I will soon hit the big 30 in a couple of weeks and I think the little lady is going to get me a 3" DP and some 4" tubing to do a DIY exhaust. My question is, since I'm going to be in there, should I gut the EBPV? What will this do when it's Feb in Oh and 0 deg outside? Also, does anyone have a link for step by step instructions on performing this mod? As always, thanks for the help

Well, I'm in MA, so it typically doesn't get that cold. We do have many below freezing days in the winter though. Mine's been disconnected for 5yrs, sure is nice having extra power and not having the EBPV hold you back. May take an extra couple minutes to get heat in the cab, that's about the only difference I've noticed.
If you can talk the ol lady into getting you a dp from tymar, instructions are in there if you want to delete it. I deleted mine but I don't drive mine much in the winter. It gets real cold here of course. And Robb is right, about all it does is warm it up faster. I don't know where you are planning to exit the exhaust, but I did a 3-4 inch dp and a straight pipe exiting in front of the rear tire for about 250 bucks total.
ive got mine disconnected, stopped the oil drip, gets cold as f--k out here in the winter.i just plug in my block heater when it gets below 40 degrees, engines warm and heat blows right away even when it's below zero. I am going to wait on the delete untill i have to take the turbo off for some reason.
talyn's got some pics of when he did his.you may want to talk with him about what he did.
I was actually just talking about deleting the flipper for now, then like John said you can delete the crap from the pedestal sometime but you need to remove the turbo for that
