what kind of mileage do you get with a 302 efi, 3spd aod, and light throttle?
i want and idea of what everyone else gets, i get about 12 usuallys, but as high as 15
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Nov-02 AT 06:50 PM (EST)]I get 8-12 mpg, depending on how hard I run her
By the way if you had an aod it would be 4-speed. You probabely have a c-6 like me.
well that sounds about right.... but not to be crass the old adage holds here if you are worried about gas mileage dont buy a truck.... a buddy was told that when looking at trucks at a dealer lol.
I get about 9-11 but I have a hard time not stomping on it a few times between fill-ups.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
Wow...I feel special. I have a 95 F150 XLT 4x4 with a 302 V8 and a 5 speed manual and today I got 20 MPG. The motor only has 79000 miles on it! Last week I got 12....I had all fluids and filters changed and I think that is what made all the diff! Tomorrow I am replacing both of the radius arm bushings. That should make it drive better! My driver's side one is totally out of the hole...talk about a HORRIBLE noise! I've owned this truck nearly two weeks and I love it!
I have a 92 XLT Flareside with 3:55 TracLoc; 302 and E4OD. After new plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, fluid change to synthetics, I went from 12.8 to 18.6 MPG.
In my 92 F350 CrewCab 4x4 w/351 EFI, C6 3spd auto, 3.55 gears, and 33" tires, I seem to be getting about 10mpg in mixed city/in-town-highway driving, trying to be light on the pedal. There are alot of hills here too. I have yet to check it out on the open road, interesting to see what I get with those high gears and big tires. I am kinda disappointed in the mileage, since this is a small engine. Wonder what the mileage would have been if I had gotten the same truck with a 460 instead? It is an improvement over my Chevy 454 dually (6mpg), so I guess I shouldnt complain too much, but man that Chevy had sooo much more power than this Ford, I miss being able to stomp on it and really GO somewhere! (nothing against Fords, we own 4 of them right now) -Glen.
When i first got mine it would get 13-14 mpg but since i got rid of my cat and put dual glasspacks on i get 8-9 mpg
