HPX Question

For those that have the hard line HPX, will the turbo clear it, or does it have to be removed/reinstalled to swap turbos?

Thanks

It should clear without any issues. It goes under everything.

Thanks

Thanks, going to be a new turbo by end of the week, just finishing up the carnage that started yesterday.

I just put one in last month. It will fit without removing anything but it takes some time.

I have it but I am not sure about taking the turbo off with it on. I like all the room I can get when taking the turbo out. So the HPX is easy to take off if needed so I would do that if needed.

Only thing I took out was the intake where the plenums hookup, makes for an easy install there. Easy cheesy..

i installed mine a couple weeks ago. the return line rests right on the side of the compressor housing, touches it for several inches. very tight fit at the JIC. route the line to get the most direct run at the return hole. there isn't a mm of slack to play with. be careful not to cross thread JICS and connectors. make sure you can tighten down several turns with just finger pressure before you wrench. take the "engine cover" bracket off of the HPOP to give you better acces to the passenger side fittings. loosening the fuel bowl bolts didn't really buy me anything b/c the fuel supply line will still be in the way. it's just a tricky bitch, but #8 definitely likes it. an extra hand (vice bungee) while installing the new FPR block would be a huge help. don't goof the spring and poppet or you'll end up doing it over. triple check for leaks.
