From what I can remember/understand it equilizes the oil pressure between the two fuel rails. For me it quieted/smoothed out engine idle and operation a little.

... Yes, and I would not do it again... Didnt notice a thing, other then one more thing that needs to be pulled to pull the turbo.
Just my opinion...

Like Joe I didn't notice much with the engine running. I did notice it helped a lot to get rid of cold start romps. Would I do it again??? I dunno, easier starts in the winter is nice. Combine that with synthetic oil, and it's almost record breaking low temps before I get romp problems.

I noticed quieter operation, but i think a CCK would be more effective here. Didn't realize you had to remove it to pull a turbo

Its also just another place to leak oil... I had to tighten mine the other day...
Nick (moose99) had his SS flex one blow up the other day. Lucky for him I was in the area and had 2 gallons of oil and my plugs with me...

The plugs and correct wrench do stay with me. I luckily haven't had mine leak yet, but am prepared for the inevitable.
Did he have the braided one or the tube one?

You don't have to you just need to take the air intake off it is just very simple with the turbo off
