Question HPX Preference?

Does anyone have problems or a preference on the hose style HPX or the hard pipe style? Thx

I was talking with a guy who knows these trucks as well if not better than most of us and he said the HPX is also REALLY good for our HPOP's longevity, so thats really the reason im gettin one not for the quiet factor, which is a bonus

i have heard that too...not sure why you need to replace the rubber hose every year unless it weekends after time..from what i under stand the steel tube you just need to keep an eye on the O rings...cheaper in the long run..i did not know rubber needed to be replaced yearly till i got mine and it had a tag on it...other wise i would have got the SS unit..

I have the DieselSite braided line. When I replace I will be going with ITP's hard steel line.

I reccomend the mod. It made a big difference in my idle.

Hard line from ITP Diesel. I didn't notice a huge difference, but it was noticeable.

Same thing for me. I got the SS one from ITP and it made a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my idle. Plus it was a fun quick mod to do.

I ran a hose type HPX for about three years (mine did not come with a change yearly tag). After reading about it in feb. or so I ordered the ITP hard line. When I made the change it was a good thing as some of the braiding had rubbed through and I had pressure blisters coming through the braiding. GO with the hard line it is very well formed and has great clearance under the turbo.

Talking Hose

Buy good hose and you won't have to replace it every year. If it ran different with the SS line your rubber hose was coming apart inside and causing a restriction. You might find it in the filter. The kits I have seen kind of cover the pressure side but fall short with there temp rating. See your local Parker store for the correct hose for the job.
