93 rear axel the same?

i picked up a rear axel out of a idi 250 for dirt cheap. i just got it for the gears, 3:55s finally! the axel looks almost identical besides in the front it just looks a little off? im assuming the gears and what not inside are the same? hoping to just bolt in the ring and pinion and call it a day.

Changing a ring and pinion isn't a simple bolt in job. If you have the complete axle, then just swap the whole thing. That is a bolt in job.

The axles should be the same. Your 95 should have a Sterling 10.25 long pinion axle. They made a 10.25 short pinion but that should have ended in 92.

ive already fully built a dana 60 and that was easy! changing the ring and pinion will be a cake walk from what i usually do. but thanks for confirming the compatability
the 93 is an open diff and mine is a LS unit but its straight forward for the most part.

Well, if you've built a D60, then this shouldn't be too hard, other than getting that crush sleeve to collapse.
