motor turns counter-clock wise?

I know the motor turns counter clock wise, but is that looking at it from the front of the motor, or the back? I'm turning the motor over with a ratchet to make sure I got all the fluids out of the cylinders after replacing my injectors.

Thanks
Chris-

Thanks. I've been turning the motor counter clock looking at the front by using a ratchet on the alternator. So obviously I was turning it the wrong way. I wonder if that's why I didn't see any oil squirting out of the gp holes? I used a syringe to suck whatever fluids were in the driverside cylinders. But I only got about a shot glass worth of fluid out.

Pull off the single small wire on the fender starter relay. Using a jumper, jump that connector to the + side of the battery. Engine will crank and blow any oil out the glow plug holes.

Never thought to do it that way Jim, good point. I usually just pull the IDM fuse and crank her over

it should, only way it will come out is if its filled to the cups and it will come out a little but a hand crank is no were near fast enough to blow that out, just put on a valve cover and crank it over, takes 20 seconds

That's the plan, bump it a few times. I am pretty sure I sucked most all of it out, but I want the extra security. Now if I could get 2 days in a row without rain, I might even get this done this month.
