HELP 7.3 turbo diesel
#2
1) Go to school to learn some fabrication and welding skills.
2) Sell the F150 and get an F250 or better an F350 to take the weight.
3) A N/A IDI or Cummins would be easier given the location of the turbo at the back of the engine on turbo IDI and Powerstrokes. May or may not take some firewall work to make it fit.

Gonna be quite a bit of work. You will have to fab new mounts up, the firewall will have to be adjusted. Might wanna check the clearence you will have for the radiator as well. From the back of the downpipe to the front of the radiator it takes up a bunch of space. If you can get it to fit, it will be an electrical nightmare, at least for me. It can be done though, Ive seen and done bigger projects. The suspension will be suspect though. Assuming you have the TIB setup, you're gonna eat through ball joints, bearings and everything else for that matter up there, and that's if the springs and front of the chassis can support the weight for an extended period of time. On my truck I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and used a different frame.
