Changing from computer to No-computer.

I have taken all the emissions stuff out of my 86 F150 and now need to know what I need to make it run right. It is 25 years old now and will not have to go through emissions any longer. So my Question is, what and were can I get the parts I need. Any help will be great. Thanks in advance.

i dont know whats wrong with it if anything, but im guessing your lust looking for a tune up? you can get everything you need at any parts store. the trucks common enough so you might not even have to have anything shipped from another store

I know this is an old thread, but I did this years ago to my '86 F150 with the 4.9. I used a Duraspark distributor, ignition module, and non-feedback carb. The wiring harness already has the wire you need to hook-up the ignition. The truck has never run smoother. Fuel mileage went from 9 to 16 mpg. Hope this helps.

you should post this in the forum for your engine, unless your '86 did come with a mod motor?
