94.5 powerstroke iat sensor
hey all...new to this forum and need some help. where the hell is the iat sensor on a 94.5 powerstroke and does anyone have pics of it? just bought a chip for the truck and it is supposed to be connected into the iat sensor. also has anyone tried a jaw dropper chip from ebay? i know its probably a scam but i had to try it. wondering how much of a power/mpg gain i will get. 130hp and 4 mpg sounds way to good to be true. anyway thanx guys and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please, do yourself a favor... Throw that "chip" away.. It will do you no good. The IAT is in the side of the air filter box if you just have to hook it up, but IMO you wasted your money unfortunately. Why the heck would it plug into the IAT sensor? That has nothing to do with making power... Welcome to FTE. If you want to get more power from your truck, you will need to do a few little mods to help airflow in and out(intake and exhaust), then guages(EGT, boost, trans temp[if an auto trans]). After you do those things we can point you in the direction of a good chip for your truck..

hahaha, after looking up and reading the ebay listing i cant stop laughing. sorry 94stroker, you got taken! not your fault, per se. but next time, please ask for our help and opinions. most of us have been there and done. learn from our mistakes and mishaps. we are only here to help each other. thats $50 you just spent you could have put towards a real chip. i standard 4 pos flip switch will do more for you than you could ever imagine, trust me!

i was just tyring to get across to 94stroker that ANY and ALL questions are welcomed here and all we wanna do is help.
i was laughing 100% at the ebay ad. i cant believe so many people fall into that trap. on the same token, there is a reason its only $50 (of course thats a lot considering what it is) and you 'gain' 20HP
