Trying to get the harmonic balancer and crank pulley off, the kit i rented from the local parts store has 80mm bolts to attach on, but they dont appear to be long enough to reach the holes in the balance. im losing my mind. How on earth does this thing work?
i was trying to use the silver piece with the 3 80mm M8 bolts, but like i said, they dont reach. am i doing something wrong, or is this kit not compatible?
Ya. the issue was that those 80mm bolts just werent long enough for the explores deep balancer. I got in on there and the ran out of time last. I'm still unsure as to how to operate that tool.

Did it not come with an instruction sheet??
That kit comes with 2 tools.
The hand shaped plate with slide holes is attached to the harmonic balancer via the 3 bolts, if you require longer ones get at least Gr8.
The large pressure screw is then installed in the centre hole and contact the crank snub. A socket or wrench is used to rotate the big bolt (CW) in, forcing the harmonic out and off the crank..
I figured it out eventually, the instructions were OBVIOUSLY made in america .
Im not just trying to get the front cover off, i cant tell if there are gaskets holding it on so well or if there are bolts i missed
