Nope the 2013's are having the same issue, at least mine is. Same 2-3 shift delay and overall lazy feeling when shifting. Time for a dealer visit.
Hi dualwheels66,
I want to get this into the hands of your regional customer service manager so they can help. To get the ball rolling, send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

I sat down to search for transmission issues because I'm having the same issues with my 2012 and found this thread - I'm only a bit over 9,000 miles and am seeing this a lot when first starting out and at low speeds. Suppose I need to setup a dealer visit.

Dropping by the dealership is a great idea, DD. I want to do what I can to assist, too; send me your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name in a PM and I'll do the rest.

Thank you, Crystal - I sent you a PM with the requested information.
I'm curious too as I actually have a data recorder from Ford on mine as I type this. Same type issues have returned after about a 5000 mile break. My truck is a 2012 F350 King Ranch 4dr dually CC. A little history on mine, when it was new I took it on a trip to Tampa Airport which is about 40 miles from home. With the cruise on at 70mph the transmission knocked itself into neutral. Engine over revved and then slammed back in to drive. No CEL, and no indication it happened on the dash. Continued the trip over with no more issues. Coming back home same conditions, same thing happened. Then I noticed the gear position indicator had went blank. Carried it to Ford and had it hooked up to IDS. According to the tech there wasn't any codes of any kind stored. Thats hard for me to believe but I let them test it farther. According to the service manager they replaced a module (which one I have no idea as it doesn't show on Oasis) and all is good. It has not done this same issue since. But, now it loves to hunt gears at lower RPM. Pulling up to a stop light that turns green the transmission does not know what gear to get in. That is very aggravating to me as I tow a lot. Truck now has roughly 21K on it and it got so bad I took it back to Ford. They have been in touch with the engineers and decided which PIDs they want to monitor and installed a push button data recorder. If the truck acts up I push a button and it supposedly records back 30 seconds. I love the truck but I am just about fed up with it at this point. And of course since they installed the recorder, it has not acted up. So I'll set back and see what happens in the next few weeks and see if I can report back to you. That and the insane ticking noise coming from the engine that gets louder every time they change my oil!! But thats another story
My 2011 tranny works okay except for one thing. When it shifts into 3rd the RPMs climb normally and then it feels almost like a second shift happens. The indicator still says 3rd and the rpms drop slightly but then pick right up again until the shift to 4th. It's kinda like a hickup. This only happens in 3rd gear, 4th 5th and 6th shift fine. I have an aftermarket warranty which is supposed to be bumper to bumper so I'll have the dealer look at it. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.
Second question. A friend of mine who had the same year truck told me if you hide the indicator display by pushing the up button, the truck uses a different shift program and will get better gas mileage which didn't make much sense to me. If this were a feature it would be in the manual.
