Interesting. Well that would suck, have to lift the body off the van. About 30k miles ago according to the previous owner: head gasket, studs, injectors, egr delete, HPOP, starter, alternator, batteries were all replaced.

I pulled and cleaned the EBP sensor, blew air down the tube and it seemed clear. I changed the MAP sensor to a aftermarket one yesterday and it threw a code so I went back to the stock MAP sensor (readings were from the stock sensor). The problem seems very intermittent. Will surge and blow smoke then stall. I’ll pull over let it rest for a few minuets, start it up and drive home for half and hour and it’s fine. Seems like an electrical issue to me but I know hardly anything about the 6.0

Don't have to pull the body to do injectors on a van. It's no picnic, but DTR shows all the tricks here:

That video was awesome! Thanks for posting that. I put the aftermarket MAP sensor back on and I have been driving for two days with no issues. Hopefully cleaning the EBP valve/tube and replacing the MAP sensor did the trick. If the issues arises again I’ll get a proper diagnostic done at a shop and go from there. I’ll post here if anything changed so people can reference this in the future.
