Brake controller

Hey Guys,

I have a 2006 F250 with a 5.4 that I will be towing my trailer with. I need to install a brake controller on it. Any suggestions on brand/type?

Thanks in advance for the help

Tekonsha Prodigy, P2 or P3 are very good controllers. I have used a Prodigy and a P3. They are easy to install, easy to use and very reliable. You can get a wiring harness that is pre-made to plug directly into the controller and the truck.

I have a 2006 f350 and i thought they come from factory with a brake controler right in the dash. I may be wrong but all the 250 350 s I looked at in the later 6.0l models did. Or is this just an option?

+1 for Tekonsha Prodigy.

They have smooth breaking and are trouble free. I used a Prodigy for years until the new F-250 with the built-in one.

Integrated TBC is an option across the line from 2005+.

To the OP: I would look at the Tekonsha P3. I have one and it does an excellent job.

if you're towing often, the iTBC that was a factory option is well worth the cost.
