Single speed transfer case

Ford use them in anything? I dont want one like the Aerostar just a simple chain case with no low range like they had in the old scouts.

the dana 300 transfercase from the old scout was hi/low range but was also twin stick,

i beleive the escape had a single speed, but someone elseprobably knows much more about it than i do

Most scouts had the 300 but a friend of mine parted one out with a very small awd tcase with no low range. Wish i would have kept it, as it went to the scrap yard. The Escape doesnt even have a t case. It's front wheel drive with a drive shaft between the transmission and rear diff.

The D21 was used in pre-75 F100 4x4s, it's just a single speed but a very strong gear to gear in a cast iron case. Mine is under about 2' of snow right now so I can't get pics, but it's small. AMC also used a single speed AWD/2wd case, but it was about the size of an NP208. It also has the wrong input splines, and as far as I know there is not an option to convert it to the needed 31spline input for Fords.
