PATS Key Programming with AE??
I check also PCM code and everything else what you have tell to look at.
It seems that my excursion is too new that AE can program keys, because it wont work, after i have waited 10minutes etc, and then select "program additional key" (what i have not tried before) it tells that system is busy etc. not work, i think that it is the model year what affect, because when AE starts if i choose ford excursion -2001 it wont show "pats", but if i choose -2000 year pats appear in select box, And i read that 2001 and 2000 have different kind of pats(my car is -01) system so it seems that only way to get i started it is that i have to move this car somehow to the Stealership to get key programmed

I checked my AE software tonight and I see the same thing that you explained. The initial startup screen is the "vehicle Selection" Window. Like you said this is where you select the year, engine size, etc....
When you put "2000" into the vehicle year box you can then change the bottom drop down menu to "PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT". So you can then go to the test onboard system tab and access the programming key functions.
When you input 2001 into the vehicle year, the "PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT" option is not there in the drop down menu.
This is where you go to find it (as I see it on my computer)
1. Select "Enhanced Powertrain" in the drop down menu at the bottom of the window after starting the program.
2. After reading all the sensors and trouble codes select the "test onboard Systems" Tab on the top of the program window.
3. From there in the test pull down menu you can select "PATS Key Programming"
You should be able to program they key from this point using the same steps mentioned previously:
1. Enable Spare Key Programming.
2. Program additional Key.
I have a 2000 model. When I am at the vehicle selection window and put 2000 in the year window I am able to select "PATS Key Programming"in the drop down window. But when I put 2001 in the year window the "PATS Key Programming" is not an option in the drop down menu. But if I select "Enhanced Powertrain" and go to the "test onboard systems" Tab (after the sensor & trouble code download) I can then access the "PATS Key Programming" from this location. Now for my 2000 Model this is where the program would tell me system busy or access denied. So I am thinking that since you have a 2001 model you should be able to gain access to the key programming from this location and not by selecting 2000 in the vehicle selection window..

No luck on key programming, AE show 2 dtc:
-p1260 -> pats
-And some other that tells that gpcm and pcm circuit open etc.
Engine cranks and HPOP pressure, duty cycle etc is just normal. But injectors wont fire, so does this tell anything, could it be that it wont let engine fire if there something wrong with GPCM or connection between gpcm -> pcm?

After selecting "program additional Key" keep an eye on the screen. If successful it with show "Key Programming Successful". It only stays on the screen for a couple of seconds then it is gone.
In addition, while in the PATS system you can slect the "live Data Meter" tab and it will show you the current number of Keys programmed in the PATS system. Remember, it can not be more that 8. If it isd you might try the "ignition key code erase and program" option which is above the "enable customer spare key programming" option.
Hopefully I am explaining this ok.

Today i read dtc again with AE of pats system, and i got 2 dtc:
-U1147 scp invalid or missing
-B2139 data mismatch receive data does not match what was expected
So have anyone any ideas, that does this mean just that i need key/pats programming to the new PCM or does it mean that there is something else wrong?
thanks in advance!

I am looking at using this tool to reprogram the PATs II system on an 01 Cougar that my GF recently purchased that requires a PCM swap, which is what led me here. I noticed on another chart from Ford that the Expeditions used an older version up until 2003, which uses the same version that my GFs. Has anyone done this on an 03-04 Expedition, 01-04 Explorer, Ranger, or Escape?
