IF all wiring is cut from the E4OD from what I have read it will go to high pressure and go to the default no power gear to get to a shop.
Now dose anyone know what the default gear is for an E40D?
From what I see in the the E4OD Reference Manual diagrams it should be 4 gear (OD) but I may not be thinking right on this one.
I would be guessing 2nd gear but the diagrams show ON & ON for the solenoids in 2nd gear.
Does ON mean no power to the solenoids?
It also shows ON means the oil will flow through the shift solenoid.
When all electrical connectors are removed from an E4OD or 4R100 you will have 2nd gear in manual 2 shift position and 4th or OD in drive position. Reverse will also work.
When the manual says a solenoid is ON, that means it is powered. Off is non-powered. The pressure control solenoid (EPC) defaults to maximum pressure with no electrical power.
