90 e40d
I have a 90 f250 with a 5.8, and an e40d. the truck has only 40,000 miles, [ I'm the origional owner] and is on it's 2nd trans. The last trans was rebuilt 5,ooo miles ago, but about 5 years has passed. the truck dosn't get used very much, so it may sit 3, or 4 weeks. lately, it has started to not want to go when 1st started up. after a while, it goes into gear, and is fine from then on. shifts smooth, trans oil is pretty red, and not stinky, and I added lucus when it 1st started to do this I also got the check valve kit from ford and spliced it into the cooling line. Filter has been changed, and mercron 5 has been put back, I also changed the torque converter oil at the same time. There are no codes. the guy that rebuilt it said he put in all the updates when he did it. When it did this the last time, eventually reverse stoped working, and I had it rebuilt. I just replaced the trans in the 94 centurian, and the 94 f 150, so I really can't afford another trans job right now. Is there something I can do to repair this one in the truck?
