e40d issues 94 f250 idi
hello i am a new user to this site but this site has been very helpful in the past i am currently trying to figure out this 94 f250 idi's trans issues .first off this trans was rebuilt by a very reputable guy one year ago. this truck is strictly a plow truck in the winter and a hay wagon/equipment hauler in the summer it doesnt get a break.one morning got in it put it in gear and it didnt move. when you kick it down into 2nd or 1st it seems to go fine when put in reverse it seems to enguage twice. the over drive off light is stuck on and the tach is dead while driving down the road if you kick it up into the drive setting it will shift into the gear and drive fine light still will not turn out all smoothe shifting from what i can observe.it will not shift into overdrive it also will not downshift out of drive......when put in to first gear i do not think it enguages in first gear instead it remains in second the trans seems rock hard in 2nd and reverse it can do burn outs any ideas will be greatly appreciated
