By the way, I wanted to post with a solution to this issue. I found out the timing marks are indeed the two at about 10deg. apart. The one on the other side is a machining relief for keeping harmony in the balancer. They are all factory marks but only the 2 are for timing. Thanks for the help guys, I got it running like a swiss watch now.

Glad to hear you got it! And thanks for posting your follow up. Never know who may need it in the future.

By all means AB, if anybody can benefit from this then it was worth it. This is better than making all those phone calls to my friends looking for advice, here you are all in one spot. A little off the subject but did you guys hear we're getting a visit from the clown in DC on Fri? We really don't want or need him here but you can't fix stupid. Anyway, the publisher of the paper said on TV we didn't want him here so I thought maybe this would be a good time to show how we feel about our 2nd am. rights and have all of us show up in Roseburg packing openly. Haven't heard back yet but most of us are just that type to do it, maybe we'll get on TV ourselves. Anyway, thanks for your help AB, later Brother.
