Air Bags
I am going to get a set to level the truck for camper pulling. Lots of you have this already, I'm sure. I see a lot of different ones on ebay, and I'm wondering what is the difference between the 200 dollar sets and the 400 dollar sets. besides the name, are there obvious flaws in the cheaper kits?
I also want to take it a step further, and set up a pump with an air tank. I plan on using a pressure switch to run the compressor and an electronic valves to control the amount of pressure in the air bags, as well as another electronic valve to control letting pressure out of the bags. On top of that, i want to use yet another valve for an air horn.
when i draw the system out on paper, it definitely seems more complex than it has to be. My buddy has bags on hos 150, but he just ran the compressor to the bags, and adjusts the pressure by running the compressor. his system is simple - one switch, no solenoids, one dial to see how many psi are in the system.
Does anyone have any experience with these components, are they reliable, anything to stay away from...
