Hello,
My drivers side door closes fine but does not hold tight to the cab. there is a about half an inch of gap and it makes a noise as I am driving, mostly when turning. It rattles against the cab.
Is there an adjustment to tighten the door to the cab?
Is there a fix for this?
there should also be a plastic cover on the striker it should not be bear metal. the plastic cover can be had at autozone i know for sure (thats where i bought mine) for a couple bucks. the plastic pieces wear out and fall off over time. helps the door to seal tight and keeps the metal pieces from wearing out.

That is it, missing on the drivers side but present on the passenger.
The door uses a 2 stage latch, are you sure you are getting to "clacks" when you push the door closed from outside? If the second latch isn't working then replacing the latch should be replaced.
It might be out of adjustment like others mentioned, but never heard of adjustment alone being so far off that half an inch is between the door skin and the cab skin.
When I got my clunker the doors were rattling off. I had some 1/2" pex I believe from the travel trailer so I put that over the striker a year ago and it is still in place! Holds the door in place and no squeeks
