Taking the camper out this weekend to the local St. Park to do a little maintenance. No power or water where it is stored and I can't take it to the house.
Today after going to Lawrence for the third time this weekend, and through topeka the 5th time this weekend, I was tired, but had a bunch of things on my list of things to get done at home.
Julie and I went through the car wash and then went grocery shopping together, the 7 dollar car wash was less than impressive, so when we got home I washed it. I went to Lawrence, then came home and pulled the TV and VCR out of the people hauler and inspected the inputs. Turns out it has an antenna, but it wouldn't pick up any channels, due to everything is digital now. I ran RCA cables out of the box so that they can hook up their dvd player to it now. sound seems to be an issue, I may have to pick up an external speaker, poorly designed box and poorly placed speaker on the TV is a problem. Maybe I will pull the speaker out of the TV and build a speaker and grill to mount the speakers to on the box.
After that, I pulled the 200CC motorcycle out of the trailer washed it and checked to see if it would rotate. I tried the kickstart, but no luck, I put it in high gear, and pushed it, but the clutch slipped when I pushed. looks like I am going to have to dig into it to see what is locked up. (winter project?)
Once that was done, I pulled apart my 12 volt Air compresser, and tried to figure out why it wouldn't run, it must have gotten hot last time I used it. I pulled it all apart, tried to clean some of it, and lubricated it. it works now, but I think I might have to see if I can find a new piston, I think I was a little hard on the piston ring. maybe it will get better once I use it.
Cleaned the carb and replaced the pilot jet on Clint's three wheeler today. Seems to run good now. Changed the rear tires also. Hoping we can get the trikes out for a spin next Sunday.
I brought home two motorcycles from Mom and Dad's, one was mine growing up, one was Dad's when I was young. They are early 70s bikes, but been stored in the barn for their whole lives.
They were so dirty, I almost couldn't tell what color they were but after cleaning out the garage, my wife suggested I clean out the trailer so that I can sell it, so I washed them and put them in the garage.
The 200CC was locked up, but after rocking it in gear for a while, it eventually let go, and freed up. The carbs on both need cleaned up, and I need to change out the shifting linkage on the 350CC but I have a whole nutter motor to pull parts from for that one.
The 200, Dennis wants to buy from me for his Daughter to learn how to ride, it will be a nice size for her. It might keep the mosquitos away, but it should be a good bike for around the farm.
