:-) I put up another light and a mirror in the small 1/2 bath off of the bedroom last night. Looks ok-- going to do floor and sink soon. Wife was sooo happy that I started my 1 task a day thing up again. She went to take something outside and had a light-- she came back in and "rewarded me " -- I guess that is one way to get stuff done around the house :-)
Went out and checked the progress on the mustang, and boy is it coming along. My friend doing the bodywork truly has talent and has most of the panels done to a mirror finish. I had no idea that it took about 10 steps per panel, start to finish, on this kind of a paint job. What an art!
The whole car should be going to his shop next week, then the real repairs begin. Lots of bodywork to knock out before we can paint that.
At least I've been making some progress at home and almost have the whole interior covered in sound deadener. Waiting for pre-cut steel plate to arrive so I can cover the hole between the back seat and trunk, but that'll be for early next week.
Wow! I am excited for you, and excited to see it in person!
Thank you! Can't wait to bring it to a car show out your way
I also planning on making it my daily driver (except in rainy\snowy conditions) but I'm starting to feel slightly terrified to even take it on a public road after seeing all the time and work it takes to restore
What Curtis said is basically what we do with the Miata. Once they salt or put down the spray on de-icer we quit driving it unless we absolutely need to. It just stays in the garage until after a few good rains in the spring to wash the salt dust off the roads.
Bad day-- Replaced ther battery cables on the explorer got all the wire crimped and bolted in place--- UGH- got the negative and the positive terminals reversed-- now have to cut everything and do it right--- the pos is bigger then the neg so they are no interchangeable--- GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hour down the drain.
