This has been discussed before, but I need to rant.
2:30 am. the truck alarm goes off (Factory alarm) 10 seconds later I hear a car drive away. I look out and sure enough my lights are flashing. I get dressed, head downstairs and take a look at the truck. Can't see much as it is dark out. No windows broken, unlock the door wit the key fab and my center console is open and the small tray is gone. I had maybe 4 bucks in change in there.
Get up this morning and go out to take another look. I look at the door lock and sure enough the little punched the lock out.
When is Ford going to put in descent locks? This high a price tag on a truck and they install a plastic key lock.
Now not sure how much the key lock is going to cost me or the tray, but I figure at least $100.00 bucks plus the 4 bucks I lost from the center console
One other thing, I plan to look into a second alarm to install that has an actual shock sensor AND one that has a display LED light to warn a thief that the truck is alarmed. NOT sure why Ford installs a factory alarm WITHOUT an LED deterrent light.
I feel your pain!!! I had my '11 parked at a shopping mall and came out to find my truck missing the tailgate. The thing that pissed me off the most is that I had it locked. The new tailgate after paint costed $4,188.00. I'm just lucky that insurance covered it all minus my $100 deductible.

$4200 for a tailgate? Are they built by suppliers to the US military? Holy crap....that's criminal.

I'm going to put a $1.00 hose clamp on the one side of my tailgate to slow em down a bit if my truck ever gets built. 2011Screw, sorry to hear about the damage. what a PITA.
Sorry you guys had such problems with the knucle-draggers taking your things. I always worry whenever I go to the mall with my rig. What is a jimmy-jammer and what does it do?

My rant for the day
I am sorry to hear about your truck getting broken into. Unfortunately the LED is not going to do anything to prevent the kind of smash and grab that you experienced. Your best bet is to install the Jimmi Jammers and try to park either in a garage or in an area that has a lot of light and is secure. People ignore car alarms anymore and you would have had the same result with an aftermarket alarm.

My moms Trailblazer SS just had the same thing happen on Friday, they stole buffalo wing sauce and a pouch that had her insurance and registration in it. Real winners.
