Fuel pump problem

Ok I was planning on making a flat bed for it anyhow so I went ahead and took the bed off of it, easy to get to the tank now, where the wires go into the fuel pump, the hot wire is getting fire, the computer wire is getting a signal, and why does this thing have TWO ground wires on the fuel pump? a black one and an orange one..I cannot see where they are secured to the frame. it looks like they go all the way to the computer.I am stumped on this one, I say either a bad computer or two bad fuel pumps?

find out what happens if you take 12 volts to the fuel pump without going through the computer? if pump is bad, piece of cake changing it with the bed off, lol
