Fuel pump problem

Ok I removed the intake manifold to take the valve cover off to re tighten the rocker arms. I did nothing electrical, but now when I turn the key, the fuel pump does not prime. I have a 92 f150, 300 with an e4od and duel tanks. what would couse this? it ws working fine until i did the mechanical work.

check grounds, especially the ones at the battery... fuel injectors.... and the one behind the drivers head light on the inside of the core support... fuel pumps. check the green relay for corrosion

I only removed one ground, the one connecting the engine to the firewall, i have cleaned it good and made sure everything is tight. I cannot find any lose ground wires. all i did was remove the intake so i could remove the valve cover. i was very careful...could i have messed something up removing the positive on the battery before i started working on it?

no, you have bumped something while leaning in there to do the work. check all connections, especially the ones over by the air cleaner box. the fuel pump relays usually turn green, and become brittle , so check that as well, use care when unplugging the relay, and look for wires corroded off, I have had them even corrode the post off the inside of the relay.

yes, could be corroded, and like I said before, a post could have even rotted off. be careful taking the relay out, it breaks easy. did you check if the interlock switch is tripped? 92 I think is around passenger kick panel somewhere

they usually don't go bad. whack it with your fist on the side, the button should pop up, when up, and you push down on it, they "click". both tanks dead?
