I was on another forum (PSN), reading about the owner being dumb enough to buy from a new member with few posts that had a killer deal on some heated power mirrors with lights. He got ripped off and blah, blah, blah...
While I was reading through the thread I saw that someone mentioned the local Sheriff. Instead of showing up as Sheriff, it read "She####".
That means riff was censored there.
Clay's a good guy, I've placed a few orders with him...what's up with that?
I hadn't heard of the other forum and didn't go there until today when I followed a link from Pirate about the owner getting himself scammed.
Valid question... They e-mailed me and advised we were being mentioned to often and weren't a sponsor. They advised if we didn't choose to sponsor they would delete links from people posting, our name and possibly threads. I decided I didn't like being pushed into making a choice and I guess they decided to make theirs as well. Here is the e-mail from them below. This isn't to cause any trouble, but I would rather not have this thread get out of hand, so the facts up front are best.
Just giving you guys a heads up that there are/is many threads/posts regarding your business and products on my website, Pow*********ion . i am just informing you that some stuff is in direct conflict with other/similar/same items that my current vendors carry. i see that you guys seem to have good products and a good reputation, but at some point i will have to begin removing posts/links/promotion of your products that conflict. This is in no way a sales call, just giving you a heads up. Thank you for your time.

There's only a certain element that would go over there, anyway.
The general theme of the whole place seems to be an uneasy truce among a contentious gang, each with WAAAAAY too much testosterone they need to sling around.
I've always wondered why they can't just make better use of it....
I agree with Pops.I wnet to the PSN site one time a year or so ago.I was really disgusted with the talk and negetative responses to folks that may not know as much as others about diesels.
Just made me that much more proud of what we have here.
BTW...Clay Note has always stood behind what he sold me and was willing to help...I was his first customer IIRC.
I have had posts deleted on the dieselstop when I posted up a link to something on ebay. Later I asked a question why there was a problem if there was a "find it on ebay" ad on the main logo but didn't get a response. I understand not posting links to non sponsor sites but they will usually let you say the name of the business.
Thanks for putting that up Clay, I always wondered about the rest of the story but guess I just didn't have the cajones to ask, I can definetly see your point.
Wow Pop I kinda thought the same thing about the site.
Im sure there is some great info there however i read two diferent threads the were written buy two obvious cyber throtel jocks with no real world info to back up their claims.
The case im refering to was a b!@#$ fest about why a tuned dmax beat a edge tuned PSD light to light.
I think we all know a well tuned dmax will ruin your day in a mildly tuned 7.3 JMHO
Side note my wife thinks im single handedly try to pad clay's retirement and put me on a temporary spending freeze thanks to his site so we will just refere to it as riff arround my house

Technically you aren't suppose to link to non-sponsors over there but I guess we are special and get different unwritten rules applied
We do our best to make a quality products and great pricing, but I guess that was to much competition for them. You guys were posting our name to much so they had to level the playing field.
I had all but forgotten about it since I find little use for the drama over there. Its to bad because there is the occasional bit of good info inner-mixed.

LOL, I will be coming through your area this weekend if you need me to sneak something in past the barbwire fence and guards
Just a thought. How much is it to sponsor over there? Might be worth it economically.
Instead of garage is empty, Add now. Could read. Garage half full, buy now !.

I have thought about it, but just never went through with it. I was actually very close to contacting them until they made my company name a bad word. Lets just say that a little more than one month here would pay for a year over there.
BTW- Why haven't I seen a reservation for RRE yet from you? Year 3, time to come on out
im one of many who have been banned for simply posting about clay and RR. not to mention using his parts. its been a long road of back and forth with other forums. i never broke 1 rule. i never linked to products or had ANY links in my profile.
he ships fast and carrys a wide range of needed parts.
ive got a ton of clays parts on my truck and its 100% based on how he treated me and the qaulity of his products. ill list a couple examples.
-FRX/this thing is awsome. no more dead head, runs smoother and is a super well priced choice over a full regulated return. i picked his system because it was easy to install,100% complete and worked. .
-IC couplers/super thick and durable. whats not to like, they do their job, dont tear or rip and look friggin awsome. not to mention the whole kit is HALF what others charge for 2 boots.
-AIH delete/just looks cool and makes installing a boost gauge easier.
-hpx/works like it should and fits like a glove. did it make a "oh my gawd" diff? no. but it did smooth out the idle and when using the PHP tune option"whisper" its no louder than a regular V8 truck.
-boost fooler or OCR/looks trick and works like it should. i dont throw codes and see a peak boost of 21-23psi everyday. i have yet to see one mount as clean and look as good.
-plenum inserts/im 100% leak free now and no worries of crushing my plenums. i cant see not using them if your increasing your boost. plus they are billet and just sound plain work.
i could go on and on about clay. he ships fast, answers ALL emails quickly and cares about his customers.
i had ordered the HPX,FRX,plenums, boots, fooler and a couple other parts that i was waitin to install, the weather sucked. so a couple days before my install of all my parts i got a email from clay. he was letting everyone know about the brand change he did with the hoses. there was a small chance of hose failure with the new hose brand. he sent the email out to EVERYONE he could. not taking a chance with a engine fire i sent mine back and he had a new kit in my hands inless than 6 days. to help him out i posted the email up on both PSN and .org so others would know and play it safe. guess what,i got banned for posting the warning.
ive now had the frx on my truck for about 7k miles.during deer season it saw temps of around 5*. not one issue. my truck also started and idled PERFECT.
clay has since offered up a upgrade from rubber to braided line for the FRX,which ill be taking advantage of simply because i take adavantage his products when i can.
now im sure someone is going to read this and post for me to get off his nuts or some other stupid ignorant comment about me usinghis products. actually im sure someone will link this to some of the other forums so people over there can come over to make comments. guess what,i dont care. clay is a stand up guy and makes reliable products, all of which are priced so well that the extra money you save can go towards more mods for your truck.
ill post some pics up of my engine later.*********************

I realize the insult point of it Clay, But you have nothing to worry about with your products, They are quality. I would think this is fixable and beneficial. Just maybe issues with the forum bosses can be tolerated when the folks on the board are willing to buy quality products. There are more forum subscribers that will spend money than the couple of pain in the butt forum bosses. You could just become to busy to even talk to us !. Early retirement. Just trying to look at it a different way, i guess.
PSN......I appreciate your positive comments about Clay.
Not sure this is the place for the last comment,I have not seen any replies for incorrect spelling.
