new sticks

well what a diffrence.

i got my reman injectors installed yesterday after work. and let me tell you, she gets up and moves.

they are from Rosewoods, stage ones. i knew i had one bad injector and a possible 2 other weak ones, but she drives like a new truck. the idle is smooth and has very good throttle responce. in fact i think it drives better than most of the low mileage 7.3s ive driven. in fact it will walk away from a customers 96 7.3, and he has a chip. ( i dont knoe whos )

i understand i will see no power increase untill i get it tuned and tell the computer there is more fuel avalible. however i think having a matched set makes a diffrence.

but she is now making 18 psi of boost vrs the 11-12 i had to try hard to make.

as soon and my tax money gets here she will be getting the new down pipe and 4" exhaust, along with the new ball joints / shocks.

for a big rig, its kinda fun to drive now. i doubt i will get any good mileage any time soon though, cuz it hard to keep my foot out of it.

You get a few horsies from just the injectors. Don't sell yourself short.

You just cannot utilize them to their full extent. =)

i figured that, and im holding off on the tunes untill i get some other mods done first. i plan on an ic, exhaust, turbo rebuild ( my compressor fins are crap ) and a ebpv delete. i might even spring for a diffrent turbo, time will tell.

then some tunes

Do you have gauges? If not you should plan on getting gauges first.

Enjoy those new sticks!

no the truck does not have gauges yet, but soon -

i am a master tech so i used my scanner to read the boost based off the map sensor. i might be scewed, but it is the way i measured it before. i can also map / graph the icp values this way.

and i hope the clutch will hold for a while, i havent pulled the inspection cover to see what is in there. the tranny was out before, but i dont know for what. when she pops ill upgrade with a zoom or south bend

the MAP reading is very very close to actual manifold pressure.

My boost and MAP readings are within .5 of each other usually.
