Not to mention it probably is a one-tire burnout (look at the track on the pavement before everything gets covered in smoke).
However, would turbo lag still be a concern if all you really need is for is pulling under heavy load (be it a large trailer or a steep grade)? It would be annoying having to wait for the thing to spool, yes, but if you do not care for the snappy throttle response then a remote turbo would be a feasible option, right?
Yes but he wouldn't smoke the tires if he had to wait for the turbo to spool up. Not unless he had a manual.

I was asking more about a setup for my own truck - four new A/T tires across the rear with well over a ton of camper or trailer right on top of them won't make for burnouts in my case, lol
oh dont hit me with thouse negive waves so early in the morning i give the guy props for doing some thing new if people dont try to do new thing nothing would change anf fyi that not a factory turbo
Actually that was the rare (for obvious reasons) factory turbo. It was available in the '89.756-'89.7562 model.
They actually kept a registration of buyers/owners of this rare edition. Unfortunately most of the records were damaged in a rare hurricane in Dearborn Michigan.
Here is what we know of the customer(s) who chose this exclusive option:
Someone named Joe or possibly Joseph. The middle and last name are unreadable and there may be a Jr. or Sr. following the name also.
The only other clue is that it/they was/were sold through a dealer in nothern California.

Maybe if I knew what truck you had I could have answered your question
Considering the following use: "...pulling under heavy load (be it a large trailer or a steep grade)? It would be annoying having to wait for the thing to spool, yes, but if you do not care for the snappy throttle response..." I fail to see how what truck I have is of any significance, as it could very well apply to an S1600
Yes, you and several others - as I explained not too long ago, what I know about these trucks I do not mind sharing, but what I own I'd like to keep to myself, so might as well ya'll drop the subject already.
