Sorry guys, but hillbilly rigs like this make me wanna puke. This guy had to much time on his hands if he have enough time to conjecture such a ridiculous setup. Sure it smokes the tires but they probably had no tread on them anyway. With all that turbo lag, there no way hes lighting up a new set of tires.
my little laughing guy didnt make it into the post, ah well i figured you all would read and hear my sarcasm haha. lets see if he makes it this time.....

oh dont hit me with thouse negive waves so early in the morning i give the guy props for doing some thing new if people dont try to do new thing nothing would change anf fyi that not a factory turbo

Not to mention it probably is a one-tire burnout (look at the track on the pavement before everything gets covered in smoke).
However, would turbo lag still be a concern if all you really need is for is pulling under heavy load (be it a large trailer or a steep grade)? It would be annoying having to wait for the thing to spool, yes, but if you do not care for the snappy throttle response then a remote turbo would be a feasible option, right?
yes it is feasible, just dont mount it to the cab like that one haha. there have been posts of ones next to the transfer case in a sealed box but it would have to be a good sealed box or road grime and water might foul the turbo fast.
Oh yeah, won't be on top of the stack, that's for sure, but I was asking more about the general concept of it. About the road grime and water, people do mount transmission coolers under there, a turbo looks a whole lot more sturdy than an aluminum trans cooler.
I thought it was pretty funny. Stupid, yes. Laggy, yes. Not safe, probably. Worth the time he put into it, YES (It made me laugh, so thats worth something).
Remote turboes work well on gas motors, not so well on a diesel.
