can anyone help me out? i have a 2004 f-250 king ranch 224,000 miles all stock 6.0. never any kind of trouble at all. in the last 5 months my fuel mileage has steadily declind from 16 down to 14.5. i have always filled up at the same station and have recently used different brands with no luck. i drive the speed limit, take off easy and never make chevys look bad by racing. this has been a steady decline in mileage. can anyone tell me what to check or to do to this truck as far as aftermarket parts to improve mileage? thanks.

were are you located? if its been cold for around 5 months then winter fuel could be reason. have you been idling more, carrying around more weight, cooler air in general will reduce mileage.
when i went to my 315 i lost maybe 2-2.5 mpg in city and maybe 1 highway.
all maintenance is done on time, oil is changed at 3500 miles. i know thats a little often for some, but i am a p.m. freak. oil is cheaper than a motor. i do have 18 in tires on it but this problem started 6 months after those were installed. no after market parts. does anyone have a suggestion on a programmer for this 6.0.? i am in east texas and everyone knows the weather here. no loads.

I wouldn't get a programmer with the main idea being towards mileage. You might get more, but then you might not. They are by their nature, performance enhancers first. MPG gains are a part of a good advertising campaign that tuner companies have done. Even if you read their literature on it, there are caveats all over the place.
My first guess would be winter fuel. East Texas is a huge area that has different climates. I grew up in NE Texas and at times it has gotten colder then my place in Mid. TN, and that's pretty darn cold. I remember last winter it got below 19°F for quite a long time.
I would also mix up your filling stations, but make sure they are all high volue stations.
