Hey guys I have an 03 250 with the last model month of the 7.3 PSD. I am only getting around 6 mpg. I have 35 inch tires with 3.73 gears. Bone stock other than that. It has 99998 miles on it. My dealer can't find the problem, even though he feels one exists. The truck drives fine 7 seems pretty good power wise.
Just terrible fuel mileage. Dealer has performed all applicable TSB's. Does anyone have any suggestions? I had an ICP sensor coded come on a while back 4 or 5 times. i cleared it with my scanner, as I was out on the road. It has never came back. It was replaced one time at about 82K miles. Could it be the culprit even though it is not showing up? The dealer won't touch it, sense it is not showing now. I appreciate any help anyone can offer to fix my fuel mileage issue. Thanks Danny
Thanks Tim for the welcome. I hated to start out with such a drastic problem with my first post, but I didn't know where else to try. A friend suggested this site. I also have a Dodge 2500 that runs circles around my Dodge as far as fuel mileage is concerned. This Ford has been at the dealer for over a month now. I need to get it back but only have 2 miles of warranty left, if there is anything to be fixed, I need to know right away. Thanks for a nice web site. Danny
