If playing with the switch will cause the dash light to come on, the I think you found part of your problem. The hubs locking could be a vacuum leak or bad hubs. Might be time to pull the switch and have a good luck at it.

ESOF dash switch. Might want to look at it, could just be a loose wire on the back or something simple. And no problem, I didn't know anything when I showed up and still don't know much. lol

Is there a place that it could have come disconnected running up to the glove box? And do you think it could be the reserivor?

If pulling and plugging the lines that runs out of the reservoir will not cause the pump to stop, then it's a crack in the resy, If it does stop, it's between there and the HVAC controls. You can access some of the lines under the glove box.

Look it over, might see the crack and seal it with JB weld or something similar. You might can unhook all the lines and plug it, pressurize with air and feel or hear the leak. Oh yeah, if you are in a pinch, you can bypass it for a short time, just cycles your pump a lot, but will work.

Today i was driving arond and i had my switch set on floor/defrost and the heat worked fine, when i noticed it i tried to change the settings and they changed for a few mins. and then it went right back to the defrost and is stuck there again, ive checked everything 5X, im "almost" at the point i dont care any more. Any other ideas could it be my switch?
