OK before you start dumping on my or start with the eye rolling. I have been looking for a original seat that isn't in someone's field 3000 miles away and in a condition that doesn't include broken rusting springs and general sad shape for a year. In one day I find it and the missing ash tray from my dash. You've got to enjoy the little things.
That's a nice looking seat. Was it already redone? Details please.
Mine is in the shop getting redone now. (supposedly)
I believe it was redone. The foam and the frame are in too good shape for a 58 year old seat but then I probably wouldn't intentionally recover a seat the color of putty. This from a guy who owns six black polo shirts and one blue one.
If you can live with the color (personal preference) you saved big bucks! I paid $325 for a cloth/vinyl re-pad/re-upholstery job. You couldn't ship a seat 10 miles for $100.
Man! Thats a great score! I like the idea about the indian blanket. My truck didn't even have a sad looking seat in it when I bought it. Think I'll go to pull-a-parts and get a seat and have it recovered. Maybe buckets and a console, don't know yet.
Nice score! I have two seats that I need redone for my 52 Panel truck. Luckily, I know a few upholsterers. Still, it'll cost me about $300 for the pair.
By the way, we should meet up one day. I'm only a few miles away from you in the Cambrian area.
