So ive been running an edge evolution cs on my truck on the level 2 (towing) program, and everything has been running great.
Well today i got bored, and decided to explore the custom tuning options. I didnt actually change anything, but when i was done it re programmed the truck to level 2 again. According to the tuner, all went well. So i turned the truck off, and tried to start it, but nothing.
Wont even crank, i have power to everything but the ignition.
The tuner is now locked up and wont even recognize the truck.
I'm at my ranch, 57 miles from home.
Anything i can do??
Try unplugging the Edge from the ODBII port for a couple of seconds then plug it back in. My edge Evolution has locked up in the past and unplugging it has helped to unstick it. Hope this helps.
Edge employees aren't working on saturdays.
I need to figure out if the computer can still be saved or if i'm ultimately going to have to have the pcm reflashed.
It depends on whether the stock file remains intact in the Edge, and if so, can something be done to make it download it back to the truck. If this can't be done, then you're going to have to have Ford put the truck back to stock.
You might try resetting the PCM, disconnect the batteries, turn on the headlights for a few minutes to drain the capacitors in the PCM's memory, then reconnect everything. This might allow the Edge to reconnect.
